XXIII Simposio Internacional de Botánica Criptogámica

Nos complace anunciaros la bienvenida al XXIII Simposio Internacional de Botánica Criptogámica que, finalmente y tras haber sido pospuesto en junio del 2021 a causa del Covid, se celebrará el próximo verano del 2022 en el entorno especial del centro histórico de Valencia, España..

Con el lema “Criptógamas: Biodiversidad, Conservación e Interacciones” el propósito del Simposio es ofrecer a profesores, investigadores, gestores y estudiantes, la oportunidad de difundir los resultados recientes de la investigación en los diferentes campos de la Criptogamia (Briología, Ficología, Liquenología, Micología y Pteridología), y a la vez establecer nuevas redes de intercambio y colaboración científicas.

El Simposio se enmarca dentro del contexto general del cambio global y sus retos sociales. Sus prioridades temáticas son la protección de la biodiversidad en todas sus facetas, la gestión sostenible del agua y la lucha frente al cambio climático. Las sesiones se estructurarán en temas transversales como sistemática y evolución, biología de la simbiosis, estudios de biodiversidad, biogeografía, ecología, conservación, cambio global o fisiología entre otros.

XXIII International Symposium of Cryptogamic Botany

We are very pleased to welcome you to the XXIII International Symposium of Cryptogamic Botany which, finally and after having to be postponed in June 2021 due to Covid, will be held next summer 2022. For this ocassion, we have chosen the special setting of the historic center of the Mediterranean city of Valencia, Spain, for its celebration.

With the Symposium theme "Cryptogams: Biodiversity, Conservation and Interactions" the purpose of this event is to offer lecturers, researchers, stakeholders and students, the opportunity to disseminate recent research results in the different fields of Cryptogamy (Bryology, Phycology, Lichenology, Mycology and Pteridology), and at the same time to establish new networks of scientific exchange and collaboration.

The Symposium is framed within the general context of global change and its social challenges. Its thematic priorities will cover the protection of biodiversity in all its aspects, the sustainable management of water and the fight against climate change. The sessions will be structured around cross-cutting issues such as systematics and evolution, biology of symbiosis, biodiversity studies, biogeography, ecology, conservation, global change or physiology among others.
