Curso del género Syntrichia Brid. organizado por la Universidad de Zurich.
Durante los días 28 y 29 de octubre de 2017, tuvo lugar un curso sobre el género Syntrichia Brid. en Suiza, organizado por el grupo de briólogos de la Universidad de Zurich (Departamento de Sistemática Botánica y Evolutiva) e impartido por Mª Teresa Gallego, de la Universidad de Murcia. Asistieron 20 participantes de diferentes países. El curso incluyó una charla introductoria en la que se mostraron los caracteres distintivos de Syntrichia, las diferencias con los géneros cercanos, así como las características morfológicas diferenciales de las especies europeas del género. Tras la charla se realizó un curso práctico, en el que los participantes identificaron su propia colección de especímenes.
Quiero agradecer especialmente a la organización del curso y a los participantes, su gran amabilidad y cooperación en todo momento, ofreciéndome la oportunidad de disfrutar en su compañía dos días de Syntrichia.

Genus Syntrichia Brid. course organized by Zurich University.
On 28th and 29th October 2017, a course on the bryophyte genus Syntrichia Brid. took place in Switzerland, organized by the bryophyte research group of the University of Zurich (Department of Systematic and Evolutionary Botany) and conducted by Mª Teresa Gallego, from the Universidad de Murcia. It was attended by 20 participants from different countries. The course included an introductory talk about the differences to related genera, the characters of the genus and the differentiation of species. The talk was followed by a practical course in which the participants identified specimens of their own collection.
I wish to thank particularly the Swiss bryophyte research group and all the participants by their friendliness and cooperation, giving me the opportunity to enjoy two Syntrichia-days in their company.
